The Mecosta-Osceola Great Start Collaborative is a partnership of parents, business people, faith bases, child care providers, education, as well as health and human service organization leaders.

  

We are committed to building and maintaining a comprehensive early childhood system and ensuring that every child is healthy, happy and ready to succeed!


What is a Comprehensive Early Childhood System?

A comprehensive early childhood system is a network of county-wide supports and services working together to achieve better results for young children and families.

 

Five Focus Areas:

 

Pediatrics & Family Health

High-quality physical and child development services, include referrals for children 0 to 5 with a concern of a developmental delay.

Social & Emotional Health

Specialized child development and mental health services promote the social-emotional well-being of young children.

Family Support

Support parents in the critical role they play in their child's overall development. Families provide a safe and economically stable environment.

Child Care & Early Education

High-quality early care and education that prepare children to succeed in school and life.

Parenting Leadership

Parents quide the early learning of their infants and young children, and participate in early childhood planning and decision-making.
